Killer Clowns Stalking Urbana?

“We were all walking down the street. We spotted the clown just standing there, not moving. Once he saw us, he began to run, and so did we.”

Tionna Winn is one of many who has experienced this terrifying new reality. The clown scare is spreading worldwide.

Many have reported clown sightings, even here in Champaign-Urbana. Witnesses are concerned and are not sure which clowns are doing this to get a good laugh out of people and which ones are trying to “lure kids into the woods.”

No one knows the real reason why people are deciding to dress up as clowns, but rumors have been going around saying this is just a viral marketing campaign, perhaps to advertise Halloween.

At the time of this writing, clown sightings are happening around the world. Luckily, as more people are becoming aware of this trend, it is dying down.

Still, if you’re around the Champaign Urbana area just keep an eye open. They can make us think they’re gone, but can always pop right back up.
