Though both teams experienced a slow first start and entered the second half scoreless, the Tigers came out of the gates strong in the second half and quickly took the lead on Jose Ambrocio’s goal. They never looked back after that point, and Naakaii Smith soon added another goal to secure a 2-0 lead that they held for the remainder of the game.
Rain and otherwise dreary weather was a factor throughout the contest, but shouldn’t be a factor as the Tigers battle Chatham Glenwood on Friday in the sectional championship game. That game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM.
