The sports this year are going well so far, despite  it only being midseason, and the teams still have months to go and many games to win.

This 2017-2018 season’s winter sports include girls and boys basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, and boys swim team.  

Some skills are better than last year, and the teams are getting better day by day.

“I feel like there are some things we can improve on, but other than that, this been a pretty decent season so far,” says freshman cheerleader Mikiyah Lucas.

Senior boys basketball player Keonu Duke says, “I feel like our season going to turn around and be way different than the first half.”

“This season so far hasn’t been the best,” says senior basketball player Lauryn Cross.

Even with some struggles, teams have been growing great bonds.

Sophomore and basketball player Alarea Jackson says, “This year I feel like our chemistry is much stronger. When we play as a team, we play really great.”

Sophomore, cheerleader Ashanti Williams says, “I like cheerleading, it’s fun but I like last season because everybody had a bond.”

New coaches new things!

“We have new coaches so they don’t know about the traditions so like little things changed but overall the season going great right now,” says sophomore cheerleader Tionna Winn.

The season so far been through so much that the teams are just ready for the next half because it will be better. The teams will end with an great successful bang.
