Shooting goals: Soccer team eyes regionals
After yesterday’s 3-1 win against Uni High, the confidence of this year’s Urbana High School soccer team is almost as strong as their desire to win regionals. Gearing up for this season, the Tigers are feeling better than ever when it comes to the playoffs.
“I’m looking forward to winning regionals and hopefully state this year. That’s what I am looking forward to most,” said junior Lemex Ondongo.
Most team members echo this aspiration.
“This season I’m looking most forward to just having the most fun season with my guys. Enjoying every last bit, every last second, trying to make as far as a run into the playoffs as we can,” said junior Winner Nana.
Heading into the rest of the season with an inspiring 5-3 record, the Tigers are excited to give this season their all and are determined to cross the finish line.
“I’m ready to win the regionals with my team and be great. Go Tigers!” said Hayden Barton, 11.
