LeBron returns home after four years on the road.
Former first round-first draft pick LeBron James, has returned to play with the Cleveland Cavaliers after his announcement in July of this year. This comes years after James controversial decision to leave the Cavaliers back in the summer of 2010.

Appearing in four straight NBA finals, James succeeded in winning two championship trophies that he could not win in Cleveland.

After landing into free agency with the Miami Heat, James took some time to relax and get away from his life as a basketball player. Weeks and months went by with numerous rumors concerning possible teams in which James would turn to. When the time came, far less drama was involved, compared to his 2010 decision known as “The Decision.” LeBron announced that he would return to Cleveland to finish his NBA career.

High school Senior Jacob Heinricher said, “You can’t blame him for going home.”

LeBron’s return brought up several questions about the future of the Cavaliers. Will he, as the best player in the NBA, bring a championship(s) to the city of Cleveland?

Like Miami the Cavaliers brought in several superstars including Minnesota Timberwolves’ Kevin Love to accompany LeBron.

In Miami, NBA fans saw that a team filled with superstars may not at first succeed in reaching their goals. It takes team chemistry, and as talented as LeBron is Cleveland will have to play as one. The franchise also acquired elite point guard Kyrie Irving. With superstars such as Love, Irving, and LeBron the Cavaliers look to be a new powerhouse in the NBA.

When he [LeBron] first came to Cleveland he took the franchise to a wining level. Wining two MVP titles, a scoring tile, and the Rookie of the Year award. He also became the youngest player to score 40 plus points. LeBron also managed to take the Cleveland Cavaliers into the NBA finals where the San Antonio Spurs swept them. This turnout hanged over LeBron’s head and only stirred up more negativity after he joined the Miami Heat franchise. After his leave, the franchise struggled to capitalize on wins and playoff appearances.

Heinricher adds, “If he wins champs in Cleveland, he will definitely strengthen his legacy as one of the best NBA players ever!”
