writingMath2Quick! Which do you like more: Math or English? Recently, I asked my Algebra 2 class, my computer keyboarding class and my German class that question. English won out over Math 27-20. Overall, that’s 57 percent in favor of English to Math’s 43 percent. “I like English because it’s easier and a lot more fun,” Freshman Maya Chavez said. “I like Math because it makes my brain think like no other class does,” Mustafa Odeh, freshman, stated.

I looked online to yahoo! blogs and found that most people have just said both. One person argued that Math is used as a universal language, that all people can use. Another person said that you need English to get good jobs. One other person said that you really don’t need math beyond just the basics: adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing. That person also said the same could go for English, in the sense of in-depth vocabulary, grammar, and spelling. But most people said both, depending on which career you have. So, the question is, which one do you like more? Math or English?
