The Pep Assembly games are always an exciting activity to look forward to at the end of a spirit week. This is a great time to get the students pumped up for the game and bring the school together while competing in fun class games.

The Pep Assembly games are a great way to get all the classes out there and have them compete in a friendly competition. This year Senate sponsored two games; a teacher impersonation and dance off. “I love the Pep Assembly games, it gives students a chance to break free and act crazy,” said Junior Robin Hargrave.

The teacher impersonations were funny and included Ms. Yarber, Coach Blackman, Coach Watson, Mr. Buckles and Mr. Chew. The seniors won the game with Kendall Johnson impersonating Mr. Chew and Albert Fleming impersonating Ms. Yarber.

The second game was a battle of the classes dance off for which the seniors grabbed another win. Taylor Seten and Davon Austin won the dance off for the class of 2010 for the second year in a row.

A special added bonus was Alumna Ella Masar who sponsored a soccer themed game where the winner won tickets to a Chicago Red Star game next year. Maser is now a professional woman’s soccer player for the Chicago Red Stars. The game was won yet again by the seniors with Denzil Clemons as their representative.

This was another entertaining and fun Pep Assembly thanks to the Administration, cheerleaders, Student Senate and other student volunteers.
