It was homecoming for the Tigers, as they hoped they could get their first win of the year. Overall, the Urbana Tigers (0-7) were facing a tall task as they were facing Decatur MacArthur (5-2). Urbana lost to Eisenhower last week and MacArthur lost at home to Normal Community. Robert Smith of MacArthur ran 24 yards for the score with the extra point good, making it 7-0 Generals in the beginning of the first quarter. Later, the quarterback ran 9 yards for a touchdown with the extra point no good this time.

Urbana finally got on the board in the second quarter, on an overthrow by the center for a punt. That made it 13-2 Generals. That would be it though for the Tigers. No. 7 from MacArthur ran one in for a touchdown, and missed the extra point to make it 19-2 MacArthur. The Generals recovered a fumble and went down field for the 2-yard touchdown run by their running back turned it into a rout, 27-2. An interception for MacArthur led to a 73-yard passing touchdown that made it 33-2 Generals. That was the score at half time.

Two touchdown runs in the third quarter made it 45-2 MacArthur. In the fourth quarter, another fumble–their third of the game–led to a 96-yard touchdown run that made it 51-2 Generals. After two failed tries, the Generals finally completed a 2-point conversion, sealing up a 53-2 victory, that gave MacArthur a 6-2 record this season, probably sealing up a playoff spot, while the Tigers stay 0-8. It has been a very tough season for the Tigers, as they play conference leader Danville, 8-0 on the year and trying to clinch the Big 12 title.
