2010 Prom Theme: A Red Carpet Affair

It’s that time of year again…the season of Prom preparation! Girls are beginning the search for the perfect dress, hair appointments are being made and the Class of 2011 is getting down to business to finalize the spring event. The theme for this year’s dance will be “A Red Carpet Affair.” Students will spend the evening of May 1 dancing in one of the iHotel’s ballrooms and enjoying the “red carpet” treatment. While certain details cannot be released yet, the overall vibe of the dance is that of a Hollywood movie premiere where students are the stars.

Junior Anna Freyfogle is pleased with the 2010 Prom theme. “I think the theme is a great idea!” Freyfogle said. “It’ll be fun having the students be the celebrities for a change.”

Senior Stacey Peters agrees. “I think Prom is going to be amazing this year! It will give every one a chance to shine and feel really special.”

The Junior representatives have sold candy bars, treats at Grid Iron, Homecoming tee shirts and hot cocoa throughout the year to prepare funds for the event. The Class of 2011 will continue to have open meetings for Prom planning in the future.
