Senior trips are probably one of the best highlights of in a student’s high school years. It not only gives them the enjoyment of being able to cherish the pleasure of being with their peers, but senior trips also give high school seniors memories from going to Wisconsin.

Urbana High School’s class of 2010 will be going to Wisconsin Dells from April 24 to 26 for their senior class trip. They will be going to Kalahari Hotel and on a riverboat cruise. To fund the costs of the trip, the class of 2010 has been doing a lot of different things.

“They’ve been doing fundraisers for the last 3 years of their high school life and the organizing of prom really helped them fund the trip, they’re the ones who made this possible,” says Carol Godoy, one of the head teachers supervising the senior trip.

For seniors to be able to go on this trip, they may not graduate early, and seniors should be passing all classes with at least a D at the time of the payment. Also, students must have no suspension all year and have senior status.

“Right now, we have 70 students who have signed up for the trip,” says Godoy.
Senior trips are amusing and it provides a lot of enjoyment for you and your friends.

“It will be fun. I haven’t been to Wisconsin Dells in ages and it’s the friends that make it fun. Also, it’ll be a great memory,” says senior, Katarina Marjanovic.

Senior, Sherry Yi also says, “It’s going to be really fun! You can’t not have fun with your friends!”

“The best thing when it comes to senior trips is having the last chance to spend time with your friends when you’re still in high school,” says Godoy.
