When I first came to Urbana High School I was so nervous, but when I first stepped in the door all my nervousness went away. I felt as if it was my turn to play my adult role and take responsibility. Responsibility is a big part of a high-schooler now. All the students are grown and more focused on school rather than what’s going on around them. That’s way different than the middle school. All the students there were worried about boys, drama, and they were just so rude.

It was a new thing for me being in a classroom with sophomores, juniors, and seniors. I was so nervous but yet excited to meet new people. Not all the people were easy to get along with, but as I got used to being around them, they became really fun to hang out with. They teach me new things everyday, as well as the teachers.
One of the biggest things that I really don’t like is that we have A LOT of homework! There’s tons of it from every class. Especially Algebra! It seems like we’re just flying through the work.

I enjoy Urbana High School so far and wouldn’t want to do anything that would mess my experience here at the high school. Therefore, I plan to stay on top of my homework, keep my grades up, and not be late for any of my classes. I plan on being a very successful young lady in the future, and high school is where it all begins. If my high school record is good then I should be able to get into a good college like I plan.
