This Friday, the Tigers are taking on the Mattoon Green Waves. The administration is a getting together a fan bus for this game, and hopefully other games after that.
Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, Mr. Greg Hall, says that Mattoon is usually a tough crowd and we need fans out there in the stands to support our Tigers. “This game is important because we only have five games left and we have to win four of the five to be in the playoff’s,” said Hall.

Junior Amirah Ar-Raheem thinks the fan bus is a really good idea. “I would most likely go to the away games if there was a fan bus. I really wanted to go to the first game of the season, but I couldn’t because it was an away game. If we had a fan bus, I would go to pretty much all of the football games,” she said.

“[A fan bus] would just go to Varsity games, but if it was successful, we could go to every away game and not just this one.” said Hall. Junior Emily Miller thinks that it is a good idea to have a fan bus. “The people who do enjoy it, it gives them a better chance to support the team and for the team to get support,” says Miller.

The bus to Mattoon is on! The first fifty people to turn in slips to the main office are eligible to go. Urbana High School teachers Tom Neal, Erin Ludwick, and Tammy Bond are chaperoning the bus, and students may get permission slips from them.
