Nemo was found after being abducted and held hostage by two divers: one a dentist and the other the demented Darla.
The story of Marlin and Dory’s quest to find Nemo and rescue him has spread across the ocean. Thousands of sea turtles, crabs, dolphins, pelicans, and other sea creatures have been spreading Memo’s story across the deep blue sea.
“News does travel swiftly, my man. Righteous,” said Crush.
After meeting the upbeat and forgetful Dory, Marlin quickly crossed paths with three sharks. Bruce, the leader of the sharks declined to comment.
“Bruce always told us, ‘Fish are friends, not food,’ but that one Dory fish started bleeding and drove Bruce over the edge. Then that Dory fish and the orange one blew up the sea mines with a torpedo” said Bruce’s Hammerhead friend.
During the face off with the sharks, Marlin and Dory came upon one of the masks worn by the pair of divers who abducted Nemo. On the mask, an address was fund, which Dory eventually managed to decipher and retain to memory. However, neither Dory nor Marlin knew how to find “P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney.”
Latter, Dory and Marlin came across a school of fish when their hopes were at their lowest. Although the school of fish found Marlin to be grouchy, they also found Dory to be lovable and funny, so they decided to assist Dory and Marlin in their search. The school of fish gave Marlin and Dory directions, and warned Dory not to travel over a trench right in their path.
Dory swiftly forgets the advice about the trench, and Marlin convinces Dory to swim over it. Soon, Dory and Marlin are surrounded by giant jellyfish. Dory and Marlin escape the jellyfish by playing a game where they hop on the tops of the jellyfish to avoid their poisonous tentacles.
After witnessing Marlin and Dory “conquer the jellies,” a group of sea turtles, including the 150 year old sea turtle Crush, pitched in to help Dory and Marlin travel along the East Australian Current (EAC).
Crush makes Marlin reflect on how protective he was of Nemo when he said, “Oh, it’s awesome, Jellyman. The little dudes are just eggs, we leave ’em on a beach to hatch, and then, coo-coo-cachoo, they find their way back to the big ol’ blue.“
After exiting the EAC through the “vortex of doom,” Marlin and Dory get lost in a foggy patch of sea. Eventually they receive unexpected help from a whale who gives them a lift to Sydney Harbor.
At Sydney Harbor, a group of pelicans help Marlin and Dory find Nemo just as he is flushing himself down a sink to escape Darla, Nemo’s future owner and a serial fish murder. Marlin believes Nemo is dead, and quickly gives up all hope. Afterword’s, Marlin and Dory go their separate ways, and Dory forgets everything she use to know.
Nemo soon finds Dory, and together they set out to find Marlin. Nemo becomes a hero when he saves over 200 fish trapped in a net, risking his own life in the process.

“Nemo is a true hero,” one of the rescued fish said. “Nothing says, ‘hero’ like using a bad experience to save lives.”
