Review on Super Bowl Halftime Show

On February 2, 2014 the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos battled on the football field in East Rutherford, New Jersey in the 48th annual super bowl sponsored by Pepsi. The game was interesting, but the half time show is what everyone was talking about.

Grace Chariya, sophomore said, “The halftime show was great! I really enjoyed it this year.”

The halftime show began with the very talented singer, Bruno Mars. Mars began drumming to get the crowed pumped, and impressed everyone with his performance from there. He sang popular songs such as “Treasure”, “Locked Out of Heaven”, “Just the Way You Are”, and had the crowd singing along with him.

Mars soon introduced the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the stage to finish off the show with their song “Give It Away”. In 2013 the half time show featured Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child with their great hits, which consisted of “Halo”, “Love On Top”, and “Independent Women Part 1”. Both did a wonderful job, but did not do as much as Mars had this year. Mars is very talented in many different areas other than singing and dancing. He also plays many different instruments, and not many singers have that talent. It was really great for him to show off his other talents in the show. Tons of people were really impressed with the show this year. Both groups did amazing with their performances.

Kristen Campbell, sophomore said, “I loved the halftime show this year, especially the Bruno Mars performance.”

All in all, the halftime show was great, and hopefully next year will be just as good as this one.
