Former Centennial Teen Killed in One Car Crash

Teen Mario McNeill was in a single vehicle car crash early last night around seven. He lost control of the car and ran into a pole. His autopsy showed that he died of a couple blunt injuries from his wreck.
Today would mark the day of his 17th birthday.
“He always made me smile, he was the life of the party and every student loved him.” said Senior Brianna Perry from Centennial
He impacted a lot of student’s life, some posting Instagram pictures with him and paragraphs with RIP in them.  One person even put up a picture of them playing lacrosse and a team photo and the comment said, “Mario, you were a teammate and a even better person. It is not fair to have such a young mans life taken away so soon. You always knew how to keep a smile when things were rough. I am blessed to call you my friend! My prayers go out to you and your family! #LaxBrosForLife”
McNeill participated in Lacrosse and played football. He made a lot of friends that way as well as going to two high schools.
Students at both schools walked through the halls with their head hung and possibly tears in their eyes. He will never be forgotten Perry also said “The halls have never been so quiet. This loss impacted the whole entire school.”
Another student from Centennial posted a picture on Instagram of them two and the comment says, “ I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you all morning. Just five seconds with you would easily turn my day around and no one else could make me smile like you did. I’m so blessed to have met you. RIP Lord McNeill Love ju-buckets.”
A large amounts of people are affected from this tragedy.
Memorial services will be held at 3:30 today at Grace Community Church over in Champaign.
Principal Greg Johnson has also made a statement that support for students who are grieving will be provided at school.
Rest in peace, and happy birthday Mario.
