Homecoming is coming back home

Since school is back in session, many have been wondering about social events for school, after school clubs, and sports. But the biggest event on students’ minds is homecoming.

Students in Spirit Week, and are looking forward to the pep rally.

¨I think homecoming in general could bring people together if they actually tried. It’s a good way to socialize,” said junior Brianna Manuel.

Junior Demetrius Sanders agrees. ¨I think the experience of it all could be what I look forward to most,” he said.

Of the “big three” in the Champaign area, only one school remains to have the homecoming dance: Urbana.

“Homecoming isn’t just about a couple dancing and having a romantic evening, it’s about a community getting together and bonding over something that could be special,” said Manuel.

The dance takes place Saturday, October 2nd at 6:00 p.m.
