Note: Very similar in style to Chipotle, a great tex mex place.

Shawarma Joint

Location: 627 E Green St, Champaign, IL

Best Order: Falafel Bowl

Note: This place is a great way to get Mediterranean food at a fast pace. It has a sort of Chipotle-style to it that makes it easy to try new things, which always deliver on flavor.

Kofusion

Location: 701 S Gregory St, Urbana, IL

Best Order: 1 dollar sushi

Note: Though it may not be an everyday meal, Kofusion is a nice step up in quality every once in a while. And if sushi isn’t your thing, they have a variety of dishes ranging from miso soup to stir fry.  

Manolo’s

Location: 1115 W Oregon St, Urbana, IL

Best Order: Slice of pizza

Note: If you’re going to a pizza restaurant during lunch, it’s got to be quick. With only 50 minutes, it’s not reasonable to eat a whole pizza, which is why by the slice is the way to go. Manolo’s is arguably the best at it. A generous slice combined with a decent price and you got yourself a great lunch place. 

Rick’s Bakery

Location: 124 W Main St, Urbana, IL

Best Order: I’m always partial to a good lemon bar

Note: A place that can fill your sweet tooth. They have got just about any baked good you desire. And if you’re looking for a one-stop shop, Rick’s also provides some great meal options too. Be sure to check out their tamales.

Windy City Express

Location: 410 N Race St, Urbana, IL

Best Order: 3 chicken fingers with lemon pepper seasoning

Note: There’s a reason that Windy City Wednesday is a thing. The chicken fingers provide a nice balance of flavor along with affordability. If chicken is not your thing, there are plenty of other classic American foods on the menu such as hot dogs and Italian beef.

Common Ground

Location: 300 S Broadway Ave, Urbana, IL

Best Order: This is really all up to taste. With this being the lone market on the list, you can get just about anything that floats your boat. 

Note: Though the prices on most items are a little steep at times, the quality is high. This place is good whether you’re looking for a full meal or just a small snack.

Huaraches Moroleon

Location: 805 Philo Rd, Urbana, IL

Best Order: Fajita Quesadilla

Note: If you’re craving some Mexican food this is the place to go. 

Rosati’s

Location: 701 S Gregory St H, Urbana, IL

Best Order: The 5 dollar slice and a drink

Note: The only chain on this list, but it was included for a reason. The slice and a drink combo at Rosati’s is some of the best value you can get. The big slice of pizza is sure to fill up almost anyone.
