Fall is here! Take this weekend to indulge in it this year. Here are some inexpensive places or events to go to this autumn:

The Scarecrow Festival will be held this Saturday, October 8th at Ambucs Park. The event begins at 10 a.m. and will last until 3 p.m. The festival will have hayrack rides, games, crafts, food, and much more. It is a perfect outside fall event to enjoy the weather while also having fun. 

Slash Fest is a drive in movie event in Gibson City that will be held October 7th and 8th. There will be two separate screens, each playing different sets of movies. Screen 1 will be showing  Halloween (1978) and A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). Screen 2 will be showing Friday the 13th (1980) and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974). Admission prices are $12 for those 12 and older, $7 for anyone younger. 

Curtis Orchard is open for the fall season! You can pick apples, visit the pumpkin patch, and more. The orchard is the perfect place for people younger siblings or great for a group of friends to get outside and do something together.
