Last time the Ravens and the Patriots met, it was back in 2007 when the Pats were vying for a perfect season. We all know (or the majority of us do) that the Patriots completed a perfect regular season and lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl, and the Ravens ended up with a dismal 5-11 record.

In that game, the Ravens were leading until Tom Brady (quarterback of the Patriots) lead a drive down field, and with 44 seconds to go in the game, threw a clutch pass to Jabar Gaffney for a go-ahead TD and win it, all this after two calls went against Baltimore.

Clearly, times have changed. Baltimore has a young gun quarterback, and their defense is still strong, while the Patriots had to regroup after just barely beating Buffalo in the opener and then losing to the Jets. They did regroup against another young-gun quarterback Matt Ryan and the Falcons. The Ravens rolled over the Chiefs, beat the Chargers, and smashed the Browns, to go 3-0. This should be a fantastic matchup, of a clutch quarterback, a great defense (although they haven’t showed it much yet), and just a mad clash of AFC powers. Look for Tom Brady to use another one of his late drives to get a field goal from Stephen Gostkowski, and the Pats will squak one out, 17-16.
