fall-leaves

Fall is a great time of year- it’s lots of fun to go to the local pumpkin patch with a few friends, go to Friday night football games or hang out on campus.

Many students hang out at the University of Illinois. It has lots of good shopping places like Urban Outfitters or food places like Noodles and Company. It’s also fun to take a walk on the quad. Overall, it’s just a nice place to spend time with your friends.

There are the varsity sports like football and basketball that are advertised a lot. Then there are the other sports like club rugby, soccer and wheelchair sports that aren’t as widely advertised. This leaves many people not knowing that these sports are going on. “Soccer games are cool to watch and I won a shirt,” said Senior Marissa Marrone.

These sports events are exciting to go to and support the university. There are also wide array of events for everyone’s interests. You can go with your family members of your sport teams or just a group of friends. Many of the sports that aren’t advertised a lot are free or under $5 to attend. “Baseball games are cheap, fun, and you get to sit right in the front row,” said Sophomore Anwen Parrot.

Below is the October schedule of the University of Illinois’ sports events. There are also many more sport teams, like synchronized swimming and ice skating, that have meets and games later on in the year. To check out more sports teams go to the link Athletics.
