UHS State Scholars

The 2009 State Scholars List is in! Twenty-two UHS Seniors made the cut this year. To be eligible for State Scholars, students must have a high class rank (approximately the top ten percent) and or a good ACT score. High schools across Illinois send in students’ scores and class ranks to the ISAC (Illinois Student Assistance Committee) to be considered for eligibility.

“State Scholars is an honor for students to receive,” said Guidance Counselor Samuel Furrer. “It’s a nice thing for them to put on college applications.”
