Movies That Shouldn’t be Touched
Titanic: Jack Dawson is a guy taking one day at a time. He wins a lucky ticket on the Titanic in a game of poker. He eyes a rich girl Rose DeWitt Bukater, and saves her life as she tries to jump aboard. A love is blooming and her fiancé isn’t too happy about that. One night Titanic hits an iceberg and the big ship has four hours to get everyone off before it sinks. There aren’t enough lifeboats and the Titanic sinks. It is a love thrilling and sad movie.
Grease 1: A summer love is blooming between Sandy Olsson and Danny Zuko. They didn’t think they’ll see each other again, but that changes quickly when Sandy doesn’t go back to Australia. They meet again and it’s not what she expects. Sandy hangs out with the “Pink Ladies” soon and joins their crew. Danny being a T-Bird tries to be cool but realizes he’s not like that. Senior is happening and they become boyfriend and girlfriend. This movie was set in the 50’s with poodle skirts and greasers.
Snow White: A princess named Snow White is stuck living with her mean stepmother. She goes to pick flowers but almost gets killed. The guy tells her to go far, far away and she does. After running through the woods she comes up to a little cottage. She goes and takes a nap and when she awakens, seven little dwarves are standing in front of her. She acts like their mother but one day, a strange lady comes up to the house and asks her to take an apple. She hesitates to eat it but the old lady acts sick. So, Snow white takes one, not knowing it’s her evil stepmother disguised. They think she’s dead but when prince charming comes and kisses her, she awakens and lives happily ever after.
Pearl Harbor: When WW2 was going on, many soldiers are diploid as nurses to help in the war. Rafe McCawley and Danny Walker are best friends and are in the air force together. Rafe soon meets a nurse named Evelyn Johnson and they fall deeply in love. When he gets told he’s going to go fight in Great Brittan they start writing letters to each other. Evelyn is diploid to Hawaii with all the other soldiers including Danny. Rafe’s plan gets shot down and everyone thinks he’s dead. Danny and Evelyn soon talk after a month after they hear he’s dead. One night of love gets them in a sticky situation. The night she finds out she’s pregnant, Rafe shows up. No one suspects it after hearing he was dead. As Danny and Rafe are sleeping in a car, Pearl Harbor starts. In battle, Danny dies and finds out he’s going to be a father, but it’s too late. After the war ends, Rafe and Evelyn get married and Evelyn has her baby. In honor of Danny, they name the baby Danny.
Footloose: Being the new kid in town, Ben McCormack is a complete outcast. After not knowing the laws he starts eyeing Ariel Moore the town’s wild child. He makes friends and shows them what it’s like where he’s from. Soon enough in a council meeting, Ren takes a stand and says his peace. He asks for a senior dance and Reverend Shaw Moore lets them have their dance. They all soon realize that the laws are stupid.
These movies I picked shouldn’t be picked because they’re classics. Many of these movies teach us about things and let our imaginations swore. Titanic and Pearl Harbor were actual events that happened in America and were a big devastation to the world. Snow White shouldn’t be remade because how is it supposed to let little kids imagine and get creative with those types of movies? Footloose was a classic movie in the 1980’s and most parents have showed kids this movie and kids actually liked it. It shows us what one person can do if they actually put their mind into it. Lastly, Grease shouldn’t be remade because it is a good movie set in the 50’s that our parents have passed down and showed us. It showed us how high school clicks and relationships are just the same as ours. We just have different dances and music. That’s why these movies shouldn’t be remade and many more.
