Fall Out Boy is an American pop punk band made up of Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman, and Andy Hurley. The band formed in 2001 in Wilmette Illinois and had many underground concerts before they made their debut album “Take This to Your Grave” in 2003, followed by their major label album “From Under the Cork Tree” in 2005. In 2007 they released their third album “Infinity on High”.

In 2009 the band announced that they were taking a break for an undecided amount of time. Fall Out Boy said, they were not broken up; they were simply taking a break to relax and focus on other things.

Fans were heartbroken when they heard this news. There were many “mobs” of fans running around shouting their anger.

“When I heard they broke up, I was devastated. They had so many good songs! I just couldn’t understand it,” Freshman Rose Taylor said.

Many fans held their breath then screamed and shouted their glee on February 4, 2013 when the band members announced that comeback album “Save Rock and Roll”, a tour, and a new single.

“I heard about them announcing something big, so I had my friend look out for some news. I was in first hour when she texted me. I looked and saw that my dreams had come true. Fall Out Boy was back together. As soon as class was over, I met up with all my friends and told them the great news,” Sophomore Elizabeth Coffman-Mackey said.
