Skip the mall after school and come to the auditorium instead. Maul of the Dead is going to be a winter performance like no other!

With about 3 months to prepare, a large group of people came together to really bring this show to life. This could leave lots of people wondering, how do actors and the crew feel while working on the show?

Junior Stazi Showerman, the head of set, stage manager, and assistant director gets the opportunity to work closely with Missy Marquart and Jennifer Heaton, the tech director and director, respectively.

Showerman states they are “most excited to see it all come together.” They have seen everyone work so hard and can’t wait to see it all pay off and turn into a “living show!”

Behind the scenes can be amazing! Roughly 45 people work hard on the crew to help create the script really come to life.

The head of hair and makeup, sophomore Andres Loor, uses theater as a “creative outlet” and is “most excited for everyone to see all the hard work the entire cast, crew and directors have put into this production.”

Excitement isn’t the only feeling. The whole show seems to be a roller coaster of emotions.

The whole cast and crew could agree closing night is full of touching moments that bring some tears. Junior Eve Foley said “closing night will be sad, because then this show is over!”

Opening night seems to make freshman JJ Lee feel “nervous but well prepared.”

Freshman Ally Bauer could agree, feeling “full of jitters and excitement!”

Speaking of opening night, it is tonight at 7 p.m!

Can’t make it? There are three more showings on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Make sure to come out if you love zombies, fighting, or anything gore!
