In the final stretch of the school year, new hallway changes have been implemented with the goal of creating a lasting and efficient order for the end of this year.

Jorge Elvir, administrator, explains that the new policy focused on “reassigning of some different positions and providing teachers with walkie talkies.”

These changes have been a long time coming according to Elvir.

“Teachers were requesting quicker responses. Since they didn’t have walkie talkies they would send emails which might not be seen until much later.”

These changes are meant to “make things simpler and more efficient, which allows for better communication.”

Elvir believes that the new changes have been effective considering, they’ve “been able to track students quicker, track students that are leaving the cafeteria when they’re not supposed to leave. Communication has increased.”

These new changes were put in place to create more efficient communication and to ensure a safe school. The changes will continue into next year, which will hopefully create a safer environment for learning.
